Politics, now that is a subject that can ignite epic arguments!

My political views are simple, I do not want the government in every aspect of my life. I do not want the government to micro manage us. Contrary to some peoples beliefs people can take care of their own lives without thousands of rules and regulations.

As far as The Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street goes, protesting the Government is a great way to get your message out and it is our constitutional right to do so. BUT, it must be done in a lawful and peaceful manner. Once you cross the line into a MOB than your message is no longer valid.

Military

We have the best Military in the world! The men and women in our armed forces deserve the greatest respect for what they do! Face it without the courageous actions of our Military this country would be a completely different place.

The only complaint I have is how our leaders utilize the Military. Why do we have to be the World Wide Police Department? The Military is for the defense of the United States, if we are attacked or even if we suspect that we will be attacked from some other country or terrorist group blow them right back to the stone age!

But when the job is done, leave! Why do we stay and rebuild and try to build a new government for them? This is insane! When did WAR become nation building? War is ugly, War is dirty and War means killing your enemy.

Bring our troops home after the job is done, period, the end.

Business

A business or corporation cannot be evil for making profits. They are started just for that reason, to make money so how are they evil for succeeding?

We cannot support the economy with government programs, government jobs or taxing the people into the poor house. Entrepreneurs starting businesses have made this country's economy stronger than any government program could ever do.

But on the other hand, if they fail, let them fail. Someone else will come along and do a better job, it is the basic nature of business. Once we get into the mindset of "they are too big to fail" we have already lost. NO BAIL OUTS!

Government Spending

You cannot spend your way to prosperity. It has been tried endless times since the Roman Empire and has failed miserably every time. When will we learn? Printing money will not make all our troubles fade away.

Energy

Going green is great! BUT until the technology is actually efficient enough to cheaply sustain our energy requirement we must continue to utilize fossil and nuclear energy to sustain our energy needs. Forcing newer green energy production that actually costs more to produce is counterproductive to say the least.

Gun Control

Under the United States Constitution we have the right to posses firearms. As a former Police Officer from NYC I can tell you this, having a firearm in your home to protect yourself and loved ones is one of the best things you can do. The Police cannot be everyplace at once and if it takes more than 60 seconds for the Police to respond to your location, it is too late. There is no logical counter argument to this, it is a solid fact that cannot be disputed.

Conspiracy  Theories

Just Stop! The US government under George Bush did  NOT destroy the World Trade Center. Cowardly Muslim terrorists attacked us, case closed!

Contrary to some people's ideas, President Obama was born in the United States.

Osama Bin Laden is dead! Our Military took his cowardly ass down. Also, no 72 virgins were not waiting for him!

Bottom Line

If I would have to classify myself I guess I would say I am a Tea Party Constitutionalist.

There is so much more I could rant or rave about but this is just a basic idea of my beliefs.

But I am always open to here other peoples thoughts and beliefs. Shutting people down before even listening to their side is counterproductive to say the least. I may not agree with you, but I am willing to listen to your thoughts.
